Welcome to The Wandering Maven and I look forward to meeting you in person. My name is Kim and I started my business in 2021 when COVID was still very prevalent. I found in quarantine what brought me joy and calm was my growing love of houseplants. The routine of caring for and nurturing a living thing (one that does not talk back) made the isolation feel less difficult, in fact I started to embrace my time in my home more.

When social interaction was once again safe, I had the opportunity to start my new concept...a boutique that wasn't just about selling, but also education and building relationships. I wanted to create a community where people could come together despite our differences and have meaningful interactions based on our common love of houseplants. At The Wardian, my previous moniker, I was able to establish what I intended to and now I will be able to expand that concept in my own neighborhood. I look forward to showing you what The Wandering Maven has to offer.
